Summary

Standard consumer-level Trinitron from the early 90s. Uses the same chassis as the KV-13TR24 and KV-13TR27, but is missing the AV input and is only capable of RF. This was the last RF-only Trinitron model released in North America.

The following models all share the same service/user manuals: 13TR14, 13TR24, 13TR27, 1427R, 13EXR90, 13EXR91.

This generation of Trinitrons is not completely compatible with later Sony remotes. While basic controls such as channel select, volume, and power are the same, picture adjustments cannot be changed from the front panel and require "Select" and "Picture +/-" buttons that are missing on newer remotes. Obtaining an original remote is essential to properly enjoy these TVs. Compatible remotes are RM-780, 781, 782, or 783.

This TV uses a hot chassis design and should not be modified for additional inputs.
