Notes

Sanyo as a TV manufacturing company really declined in the 1990's. They went from importing chassis from Japan to make high-end sets, monitors, etc. in the 1980's to having Mexico make everything and cut corners in the 90's. This set was made in Mexico and assembled in the USA, I believe.

The composite video quality is quite crusty on this set, as it seems to lack a comb filter. But I still find the image quite charming.

The set has internal POTs to adjust color and geometry.

If you don't have the remote, you can switch between the TV channels and the video input by pressing the SETUP button and selecting the options in the menu.

Tube is a fairly low-end "ADT"-family model by RCA. The edges are quite soft, which is typical of these lower-quality tubes by the company. It also has a bonded yoke. Oh, joy of joys! This model tube was originally introduced in 1989; Tube datasheet.

Mods

It is reportedly possible to mod this set for s-video. According to the OP from this Reddit post:

"I did get S-video working by feeding Luma into the composite video input by soldering a wire to the terminal on the bottom of the AV rca port, then I fed Chroma into pin34 of the IC. I also connected the S-video ground to the composite video port in the same way as the luma signal, only connected to the ground terminal of the port."
